The beginning of this month we had a team come down from Canada to put on the church roof. They had planned to come back in February but the earthquake had made that impossible. Six men, Bryon, Ronnie, Steve, Bruce, Norman, and Toby worked with men from the church and the community to put 3/4 of the roof on. They were disappointed to not be able to finish but there were not enough 2x8s and they don’t sell them anywhere here in Haiti. We so appreciated their very hard work in the sun, strong winds, and dust, to not only get as much of the roof on as they could, but also complete many other odd jobs.

We have been able to begin using the new building and are SO grateful for it! In fact our very first Sunday to use it was Easter Sunday! It was a day of double rejoicing! We have also been able to spread out the school classes during the week.

More pictures to come when I can get them from those who took them…

in the news they be talking about rebuilding haiti they’re talking about billions of dollars that they’re expecting to come out of nowhere too bad ! uncle Sam’s pocket is quite empty .however on the most destitute part of this country there stand a man and his hand hold a phare , a phare whose light is so bright that you can see its shiness from port au prince .he was born Manis dilus but his trust in the lord jesus christ the unique son of God , his heart for his people , his devotion to spread the gospel made him a born again known as “Lemuel” . He doesn’t have billions of dollars but he has a heart with a billion of great ideas he is puting to work to bring to his people the hope that they need to survive and to fight as a team for a better tomorrow. He doesn’t have a million of dollars but he has a million ways of using the few that he is being intrusted to to make the most out of it for the welfare of the people in his community.
He is the one who once said my family are those whose voice can’t be heard , my mission is to represent those the society can’t see because they don’t have a name , an address nor an identity because of where they come from.
